Lyon County Sheriff Car Door 60-8Larchwood, Iowa — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office released a statement this weekend about a crash that happened last week and is still under investigation.

They report that they responded to a one-vehicle accident at the intersection of Cherry Avenue and A-18, at the very southwest corner of Larchwood. When deputies and emergency responders arrived, it was determined the driver of the vehicle had left the scene, but the vehicle was still there.

They say the vehicle involved in the accident was a 2014 Ford Fusion, which sustained about $9,000 in damages.

The report says the Larchwood Rescue Squad and Larchwood Fire Department responded to the call along with the Sheriff’s Office.

There is no word on the identity of the driver, or if any injuries were sustained.
