Larchwood, Iowa — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help.

They say they are investigating a hit and run accident that occurred on July 7, 2017 between the hours of 6:45 PM and 8:30 PM. A blue/green 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix owned by Lance Boote of Lester, was parked and unoccupied on the south side of the gravel entrance to the Larchwood softball diamonds. An unknown vehicle struck the driver’s door of the Grand Prix causing approximately $1,500 in damages. The unknown vehicle’s driver did not leave a note behind and nor contact the Sheriff’s Office. The unknown vehicle is believed to be white. If you have any information on this vehicle or witnessed this accident, please contact the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office at 712-472-8300.
