Inwood, Iowa– Inwood firefighters were called out to a fire on Saturday, December 2, 2017 near Inwood.

According to Inwood Fire Chief Mike Knobloch, about 12:50 p.m., the Inwood Fire Department was called to the report of a field fire near 2357 Buchanan Avenue, a mile northwest and a mile west of Inwood.

The chief says the fire department saw the grass burning as they approached the scene. He says they put out the fire with water.

Knobloch says no injuries were reported.

He says the most likely cause of the fire was a nearby burn pile.

Chief Knobloch reports that the damage was limited to about a half an acre of grass.

He says crews were on scene for a short time.
