Inwood, Iowa — A $3.2 million construction project continues at the West Lyon School north of Inwood.

Superintendent Shawn Kreman, who stepped into the superintendent’s position earlier this month tells us how the project has progressed thus far.

He tells us that the main big-ticket item is an addition.

He says that they hope to be done with the construction by the time students come back to school, which he says will be a week later than normal — August 28th. If not, he says there are contingency plans in case some of the areas are not ready yet. He says they are now working on enclosing the addition so soon they won’t have to worry about the weather factor.
