Ashton, Iowa — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help to solve a burglary case that happened in their county, but near Ashton on Tuesday.

A statement from the sheriff’s office says that their deputies are investigating a burglary that occurred near the Osceola County line on 230th Street, also known as the Ashton blacktop. The county line is about three and a half miles west of Ashton, on McKinley Avenue.

Deputies say they are looking for any witnesses who may have seen a vehicle in the ditch near the county line on Tuesday, February 5th. Authorities are encouraging any individuals who may have seen activity on that roadway to call the Sheriff’s Office at 712-472-8300.
