Rural Larchwood, Iowa — A Valley Springs, SD man and a Larchwood man have been arrested on felony charges in a cattle theft investigation in rural Larchwood.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports their deputies have arrested 24-year-old Jared Lynch of Valley Springs and 28-year-old Lance Schreurs of Larchwood in connection with an ongoing investigation into the theft of cattle from 1043 Cherry Avenue, about two and a half miles north of Larchwood.
Lynch has been charged with “Theft in the First Degree”, a Class C Felony. Schreurs has been charged with “Theft in the Second Degree”, a Class D Felony and “Theft in the Second Degree, Aiding and Abetting”, also a class D Felony.
Both men have posted bond and have been released. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
