Rock Rapids, Iowa — East, Vander Woude, Grant & Co., P.C. today released an audit report on the Central Lyon Community School District in Rock Rapids.

The District’s revenues totaled $9,115,179 for the year ended June 30, 2012, a 5.569% increase from the prior year. Revenues included $6,698,238 in local tax; charges for service of $838,432; operating grants, contributions and restricted interest of $1,550,668; capital grants, contributions and restricted interest of $0; unrestricted interest of $15,434; and other general revenues of $12,407.

Expenses for District operations totaled $8,416,042, a 2.125% increase from the prior year. Expenses included $5,898,161 for instruction, $1,715,456 for support services, for non-instructional, $421,084 for other expenditures, and $381,341 for food service and FFA operations.
